DHCP Server Conflict With MS ICS

If you are putting a economy node (old computer booting from CD-ROM) on a Microsoft-type network, one using Internet Connection Sharing, you must start that server before you boot the node. ICS will shutdown if it detects another server on the network leasing out IP's. If you start the CUWireless node before the ICS server is booted, then it will act as a server because nothing is assigning it an IP.

Of course this only applies to the standard image (I'm using 0.5.7), you could mod the source with hard networking settings. Also; this is probably not an issue if you have a reputable power supply.

But if you are running ICS, keep in mind: ICS will shut itself down if another DHCP server is detected on the network during boot.
